When we told our friends we were going to Poland as the Embassy invited us, everyone gave us back the puzzled look. ‘What can you actually do in Poland?’But that’s nothing new. Thai people are not very familiar with this country – Poland is always off the list only because it is surrounded by famous destinations like Czech, Austria, Germany – making Poland a ‘possibly’ forgettable country – which we definitely disagree with!

Currently, there is no direct flight from Bangkok to Warsaw yet, but you can opt for Middle Eastern airlines, such as Qatar Airways, Emirates, or fly directly from Thai Airways to Europe and opt for other European airlines as this is not expensive. If you are on a budget, Russia’s Aeroflot is probably the best way to get here. If you are visiting multiple countries, taking bus from Germany, Austria or Czech to Poland is also a convenient choice.

Now that we know how to get here, let’s start the review with the soundtrack as sweet as Chopin’s pieces to complete all 3 cities, starting with Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw!
Warsaw Day 1
เราเริ่มวันแรกในโปแลนด์ก็ช่วงบ่ายแล้ว เพราะกว่าเครื่องจะแลนด์ดิ้ง และเก็บของที่โรงแรมให้เสร็จเรียบร้อยก็ค่อยไปเกือบบ่ายสามพอดี เราเลือกมาชิวให้เห็นชีวิตแบบโลคอลที่ The Royal Łazienki Park หน้าร้อนแบบนี้ถ้าบ้านเราคงเปิดแอร์หลบแดดนั่งดูตลกโปกฮาในทีวี แต่สำหรับชาวโปลิชนี่คือช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่สุดในการเอ็นจอยสายลมแสงแดด
We started our first day in Poland in the late afternoon – almost at 3PM after landing and settling in the hotel. For this trip, we chose to stay in the local way at The Royal Łazienki Park. Summer like this is the best time for the Polish to enjoy the sun, while for Thais like us, we do appreciate ‘cooling’ time in in the hotel a lot! LOL

The middle of this garden is transformed into a large outdoor concert hall, surrounded by artists who take turns to serenade the Polish live in the perfect garden vibe. This place also allows both amateur and professional artists to do a collaboration together on the stage – how cool is this!
ความดีงามมากๆ ที่อยากให้บ้านเราเอาเป็นแบบอย่างคือ พอศิลปินเริ่มบรรเลงทุกอย่างจะเงียบ! เงียบกริบ! ได้ยินกันแต่เสียงนกร้องและสายลม ทุกคนนั่งนิ่งตั้งใจฟังมาก อาบแดดฟังดนตรีกันเพลินๆ ยาวไปประมาณ 45 นาทีพร้อมเสียงปรบมือแน่นๆ
What we really like about this place is that, when the artist starts on their music, everything else becomes instantly quiet! Apart from birds chirping and wind blowing, there ain’t no other noise to disturb the peace here at all. After 45 mins of sunbathing and listening to the music, we gave a firm round of applause for the amazing artists.
เราไปต่อกันที่ Fotoplastykon Warszaski ที่นี่เป็นมิวเซียมเกี่ยวกับภาพถ่ายโบราณ ค่าเข้าแค่คนละ 1 ยูโรเท่านั้น! โดยเครื่องฉายจะเป็นของโบราณลักษณะเป็นวงกลมและมีช่องดูหลายๆ ช่องรอบๆ ให้เรานั่งดู เครื่องฉายก็จะหมุนภาพไปเรื่อยๆ ช่วงที่เราไปเป็นเรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับ Warsaw เมื่อ 100 ปีที่แล้ว และเค้าจะเปลี่ยนทุกๆ เดือนด้วย
Next, we continued to Fotoplastykon Warszaski, which is an ancient photography museum that costs only 1 euro to enter! The projectors are ancient and of circular shape, with many ‘channels’ for us to sit around and watch the pictures that were being rotated. During our visit, the pictures are about the story of Warsaw 100 years ago, but this changes every month.
วันแรกเราเน้นอยู่ในย่าน Central Area ที่นี่มีโบสถ์ค่อนข้างเยอะ เพราะคนส่วนใหญ่นับถือคาทอลิก อย่างย่าน Zbawiciel Square. นอกจากร้านคาเฟ่ชิคๆ ยังมี Christ the Saviour โบสถ์เก่าแก่ที่ด้านใน สวยและสงบมากกก เค้าบอกว่า Chirst the Saviour แปลว่า The One who will save the world!
On the first day, we focus on Central Area which is filled with several churches as many Polish are Catholic. In the district of Zbawiciel Square, apart from many hip cafes around, there is also the ancient, picturesque church of Christ the Savior, which truly gives the peaceful vibe when entering. We were also informed during the visit that Christ the Saviors means ‘the one who will save the world’.
ใกล้ๆ กันเดินไปแปปเดียวก็ถึงมีร้านเค้กร้านนึงอยากนำเสนอ เพราะเก๋และอร่อยมาก ชื่อร้าน Slodki Slony แปลว่า หวานและเค็ม พวกชีสเค้กและไอสกรีมต่างๆ คือดีงาม ควรไปกิน ราคาไม่แรงไม่แพงไร้สาระ
Nearby the church located a cake shop we truly want to recommend because of how chic and yummy this is! ‘Slodki Slony’ – which means ‘sweet and salty’ offers many types of delicious cheese cakes and croissants at an affordable price. Highly recommended!
ย่าน Old Town! ย่านนี้ต้องมาเดิน ถ้ามาถึงวอร์ซอ เราเริ่มเดินจากต้นถนน Nowy świat st. แถวนี้จะเป็นย่านเก๋ๆ ช่วงซัมเมอร์ในวันเสาร์อาทิตย์จะเปิดให้เป็นถนนคนเดิน สามารถเดินชมอะไรเก๋ๆ ไปได้เรื่อยๆ จนถึงจตุรัสกลางเมืองเก่า จุดนี้สามารถขึ้นไปชมวิวจากมุมสูงตรง Viewing Terrace ได้ด้วยนะ แค่คนละ 5zl. หรือประมาณ 50 บาท วิวสวยมาก
Old Town district is a must for everyone. We started from the beginning of Nowy Świat street, which is a hippy walking street during the summer. Feel free to spend time strolling around this cool, hipster place till you reach the old town square, where you can go up the heights to enjoy the pretty view from the Viewing Terrace, which costs only 5zl or about 50 baht only!
ช่วงที่เราไปคือซัมเมอร์เพราะฉะนั้นมีเวลาเที่ยวกันเหลือเฟือเพราะพระอาทิตย์ตกสามทุ่มสี่ทุ่ม เราปิดท้ายวันแรกเก๋ๆ ด้วยการกินร้าน Michelin Guide ประจำปีนี้ซะหน่อย ที่ Elixir by Dom Wodki เค้าบอกว่าร้านนี้มี Vodka จากทั่วโลกมารวมกันมากกว่า 500 ชนิด นางก็จะมีกิมมิคของนางเช่น สั่งจานเนื้อ ต้องทานคู่กับ Vodka ตัวนี้ และกินเนื้อเสร็จก็ต้องตามด้วย Vodka อีกจานนึง ราคาไม่แรงเท่าไหร่ คนธรรมดาอย่างเราๆ กินได้ เหมือนกินสเต็กอร่อยๆ ดีๆ ในกรุงเทพนี่แหละ
As we visited Poland during summer, there was plenty of time for us to roam around before the sunset, which is at about 9-10 PM. We ended our first day at this year’s Michelin Guide restaurant, Elixir by Dom Wodki, which has more than 500 different types of Vodka from all over the world. The gimmick is in the fact that you should order meals and vodka in pairs – and finishing the main dish with another shot of Vodka (yet again!). The price is affordable, as this is about the same as steak places in Bangkok!
Warsaw Day2
เริ่มต้นอากาศดีๆ ยามเช้าที่ Old Market Square ย่านเมืองเก่าใกล้กับ Old Town แถวนี้จะมีพวกของจุ๊กๆ จิ๊กๆ ขายเยอะมาก สามารถซื้อโปสการ์ด และส่งได้เลยเพราะมี Post Office อยู่ใกล้ๆ ถ้าอยากได้ภาพแบบไร้ผู้คนแนะนำให้มาแต่เช้าประมาณ 6 โมง เพราะหน้าร้อนที่นี่พระอาทิตย์ขึ้นเร็วตีสี่นี่เหมือนแปดโมง
We started early in the morning at Old Market Square, a district near old town which offers many lovely souvenirs, including postcards which can be sent at a post office nearby! If you want to take a picture without the crowd of tourist, we recommend coming early in the morning, about 6 AM, as the sun rises as early as 4 AM in the summer.
ก่อนออกไปต่อหาซื้อกาแฟดีๆ ซักแก้วแล้วไปเดินเล่นสวนสาธารณะที่โคตรสวยอย่าง ……. ที่นี่เคยเป็นพระราชวังมาก่อนสมัยที่โปแลนด์ยังมีกษัตริย์ หน้าร้อนแบบนี้ข้อดีคือเดินง่าย ดอกไม้เยอะ และมีนกยูง ตอนแรกก็งงว่ามันอยู่กันยังไงตอนหน้าหนาวเลยถาม เค้าเลยบอกว่าอีนกยูงเนี่ยเอามาปล่อยเฉพาะช่วงนี้แหละ พอหมดร้อนก็ต้องไล่จับเอาไปเก็บ ไม่งั้นก็ตายหมด
Next, we recommend getting a cup of good coffee before going to this fantastic park ‘….’, which is definitely very beautiful! This was a palace when Poland was ruled with the royal family, which explains the beauty at this place. In the summer, you can easily walk around, with a lots of flowers and peacocks surrounding you. However, in the winter, the peacock will be moved away as they can’t tolerate the cold weather.

As mentioned, Poland is known for its world-class musician, Frédéric Chopin. Because of this, many ‘musical chairs’ are placed at various points in the city for you to enjoy Chopin’s music anywhere you go!
Soho Factory ที่นี่คอนเซ็ปจะคล้ายๆ กัน Xintiandi ของเซี่ยงไฮ้ คือเอาอาคารเก่าๆ ย่านที่กำลังจะไม่มีอะไร กลับกลายเป็นย่านชิคๆ ขึ้นมาแทน มีพิพิธภัณฑ์นีออนที่ยังไม่เปิดตอนเราไป และมีอินสตอลเลชั่นอาร์ตเก๋ๆ หลายชิ้นวางตามจุดต่างๆ
Looking at Soho Factory, the concept is similar to Shanghai’s Xintiandi, which is an old building turned into a cool neighborhood with a neon museum, which was not open yet when we visited. There are also several installations for us to appreciate at various points in the building.
ร้านอาหารที่แนะนำย่านคนรวยๆ 5555ที่อยู่ของศิลปินและอาหารนานาชาติ คือย่าน Francuska St. สามารถเดินเรื่อยๆ มาเรียงๆ เลือกกินได้ตามใจชอบ เราแวะทานที่ร้าน Dom Polski ที่นี่ร้านหรูๆ เรากล้าเข้า เพราะราคาก็เหมือนกินข้าวแถวอโศก ทองหล่อบ้านเรานี่แหละ
One restaurant that we would like to recommend is in the neighborhood of rich people like us (lol). This area, Francuska street, is the place where artists and international cuisine reside. We visited Dom Polski, which despite its luxury look, only charges prices similar to Asoke or Thong Lor!
Rising Museum พิพิธภัณฑ์นี้คือที่ๆ ควรมาเยือนที่สุด มันอาจจะน่าเศร้าหน่อยๆ แต่ควรมารำลึกถึงเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นจริง ในมิวเซียมเล่าเรื่องราวแบ่งเป็น 2 เฟสใหญ่ๆ คือ 1. สมัยที่ทำสงครามกับโซเวียตแล้วแพ้ 2. สมัยที่ฝ่ายสัมพันธมิตรเข้ามาช่วย และปลดปล่อยโปแลนด์ให้เป็นอิสรภาพ มาเพื่อเรียนรู้และเข้าใจเนาะ
Rising Museum is where we think is on the top on the list. It might give a bit of sad vibe, but this place helps you realize the events happened in the past. The story inside the museum is divided into two major phases: 1. The loss from the war with the Soviet Union 2. The period where the Allies helped liberate Poland. This is definitely a great visit when in Warsaw.

Let’s pause the sad vibe and find somewhere to spend precious summer time here. We visited Port Czerniakowski on a private boat to watch the sunset in the middle of the river, which only costs 100 euros (about 3,900 baht)! Next up, we paid a visit to a bar called Miami War, which is a waterfront bar with perfect atmosphere for a sip of cold beer.
Warsaw Day3
วันสุดท้ายในวอร์ซอก่อนจะย้ายไปเมืองอื่นเราไปกันที่ Keret’s house บ้านที่บางและแคบที่สุดในโลก กว้างแค่ 1 คนยืนกางแขน ตอนแรกก็งงว่า มึงจะอยู่ยังไงวะ แคบๆ แบบนั้น แต่พอเข้าไปปุ๊ปปป ฮื้อออ ดี สวยงาม มีดีไซน์ ครบครัน ชั้นแรกเป็นห้องรับแขก ห้องครัว มุมกินข้าวและห้องน้ำ ปีนบันได้ขึ้นไปก็จะเจอโต๊ะทำงานและเตียงนอน
Today is our last day in Warsaw before moving to another city. We visited Keret’s house, the world’s thinnest and narrowest house. Despite the narrowness, this place is truly well-designed, with living room, kitchen, dining corner and bathroom on the first floor. The bedroom with study desk is waiting for you at the upper floor.

This place is actually an art installation that’s ready to be dismantled at any time, as there is no home address, water, or electricity (they basically use the next door’s supply LOL!). This place is not open for commercial purpose, although we believe this will definitely gain so much popularity if it is on Airbnb. If you are interested to stay here, you have to come up with a cool campaign in mind to stand such a chance!

If you want to see the interior, an email is required to check the availability. If so, you can pay for the entrance of up to 10 pax for about 3,000 baht. The price might seem a little high, but do not forget that this is the world’s smallest and narrowest house – which is definitely a must-visit.

The next place we visited is surely a gem – this is University of Warsaw’s Library and Garden. The library is designed as a greenhouse for the trees, as per the concept that ‘Books are like trees’. This place is usually known for its acronym of BUW, and the ‘KPI’ of this library is the amount of #buwing hashtags identifying the number of readers in the library (How cool?!).

Behind BUW sits a river and a contemporary art museum called Museum of Vistula River, which might be a little too hard for us to comprehend what’s inside (lol) but.. it’s worth a visit too! On the right side of the museum is the Mermaid statue – symbol of Warsaw city.

KRAKOW Day 1
Krakow เป็นเมืองเล็กๆ น่ารักที่ใครๆ ก็รู้จัก นี่คือเมืองที่ใหญ่เป็นอันดับสองในโปแลนด์ และมีตึกสไตล์เรเนซองส์มากมายที่น่าถ่ายรูป ส่วนในแง่ประวัติศาสตร์เมืองนี้ยังมีสถานที่ ที่คอยให้เราไปเยือนเพื่อรำลึกถึงอดีตที่ไม่ควรเกิดขึ้นอีกอย่างคือค่ายกักกันชาวยิวตั้งแต่สมัยสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 ที่มีคนเดินทางมาเยือนมากมาย เพื่อรำลึกถึงเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่ควรเกิดขึ้นกับมนุษย์ไม่ว่าจะชาติไหนก็ตาม แต่ยังไง Krakow ก็ยังมีอีกหลายๆ มุม ที่เป็นสีสันของฤดูร้อนที่ควรมาเยือน
Krakow is the second biggest town in Poland known by the majority due to its very well preserved old town with renaissance-style buildings. Nearby Krakow there is a Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum of Nazi-German concentration camp from the WWII period. Furthermore, Krakow is also filled with many other facets awaiting travelers to pay a visit to those sides of the city.

Like big cities around the world, Hob on Hob off bus is offered for a tour around the town. You can conveniently purchase the tickets at the parking points to have a quick look around the city, but for the size of this city, most people choose to just stroll through the town, and only opt for the bus for day trips at destinations that are far away.

Next, we visited Kosciuszki hill, which is a man-made hill and one of Krakow’s 4 hills for scenery observation. This is conveniently accessible even for the elderly.

We moved on next to Wawel Castle on Wawel Hill, which sits right next to Vistula river in Krakow. The castle is beautifully designed with Renaissance style, and served as a royal palace for Polish kings in the past till the 16th century (year 1596), when the capital city was moved to Warsaw. Nowadays, the palace is filled with exhibits of the valuable gifts, weapons, and other stunning decorations that we think would be worth a visit too!

Below the castle located the statue of dragon – we were told that, in the past, dragons always came to eat the goats and sheep, causing people to plan to kill them, and put them as the city’s symbol instead.
Rynek Glowny Sq.ย่าน City Centre เมืองเก่าของที่นี่ ค๊วรควรมานั่งชิว จิบเบียร์ยามเย็นแถวนี้ ผู้คนครึกครื้นกันมาก มีรถม้าวิ่ง ตรงโบสถ์ St. Mary’s Basilica ของเมือง จะมีคนออกมาเป่าแตรทุกชั่วโมง แต่ไม่จบเพลง! เพราะสมัยก่อนแตรนี้แหละใช้เป่าบอกเวลา บอกโมงยาม แต่มีอยู่วันนึงโดนฆ่าศึกบุก คนเป่าแตรก็เป่าเตือน แต่ยังไม่ทันจบเพลงก็โดนธนูพุ่งตรงมายิงซะก่อน การเป่าแตรของที่นี่เลยไม่จบเพลงเป็นเครื่องเตือนใจชาวเมืองที่นี่
Next, we visited Rynek Glowny Square, which is a city center in the old town district. We highly recommend coming here to chill and sip a jar of beer. People are super lively, with horse coaches running around the town. The special thing here is that trumpet is played every hour at St. Mary’s Basilica, but the song is never played until the end. This is because of the history that in the past, the trumpet was used to tell the time, but one day, the enemy came to Krakow. The man who was in charge of telling the time decided to give the city a warning by his trumpet sound – but was killed before the song was over. Hence, the sound of the ‘unfinished’ trumpet serves a reminder for the city’s past.

Schindler’s factory museum is adapted from famous brand Schindler’s actual factory. This place is historical, as it helped save more than 1,000 Jewish’ lives.
Schindler เป็นชาวเยอรมัน เลยสามารถได้รับสิทธิ์ในการนำชาวยิวมาเป็นทาสหรือมทำงานในช่วงสงครามโลก แต่เขาดูแลชาวยิวเหมือนคน ไม่ได้ทำให้อดๆ อยากๆ และคอยช่วยชาวยิวเหล่านี้ให้ไม่ต้องถูกส่งไปค่ายกักกันอีกด้วย
Schindler is a German, who had the power to either employ or enslave the Jewish during WW2 period for his own business. However, Schindler decided to take care of the Jewish as other races, and helped save them from going to the concentration camp.
ในมิวเซียมนี้ก็จะเล่าถึงเหตุการณ์ก่อนสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 การเข้ามาใน Krakow ของนาซี การจำกัดสิทธิ์ชาวยิวและชาวโปแลนด์ การทำวิดีโอpropaganda หลอกลวงให้ไปให้ทำงานหนัก จนไปถึงการแพ้สงครามและยังต้องถูกปกครองแบบคอมมิวนิสต์โดย โจเซฟ สตาลิน
The story in the museum is about the situation before WW2, when Nazis came to Krakow to restrict Jewish and Polish’s rights. This includes their deceiving propaganda video about the concentration camp, as well as the loss form the war and period under communist scheme by Joseph Stalin.

The district in Krakow we definitely recommend visiting is Forum Przestrzenie, which is an old hotel which is transformed into an art workspace. There are cool bars and cafes around, attracting many young Polish to hang out here during the summer with champagne and wine in their hands. The vibe here is definitely one of the best we have experienced in the trip!

Krakow Day 5
วันต่อมาเรามาเหมืองเกลือที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก เหมืองเกลือ Wieliczka Salt mine ตั้งอยู่ห่างจากตัวเมือง Krakow ประมาณ 15 กิโลเมตร ที่นี่ได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนจากองค์การยูเนสโกให้เป็นมรดกโลกทาง แถมยังเป็นเหมืองเกลือที่มีอายุเก่าแก่ที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งในยุโรป
Today we’re at the world’s largest salt mine, Wieliczka salt mine, which is about 15 km away from Krakow. This place is a UNESCO world heritage of ‘….’ and also one of the oldest salt mines in Europe.
ความลึกของเหมืองเกลือที่นี่กว่า 9 ชั้นมีความสูงพอๆ กับ หอไอเฟลที่ปารีส แต่นักท่องเที่ยวจะเดินชมห้องต่างๆ ที่มีมากกว่า 3,000 ห้องได้แค่ 3 ชั้นเท่านั้น อะ! อย่าคิดว่าน้อย แค่นี้ก้ใช้เวลาเกือบทั้งวันแล้ว เพราะมีห้องต่างๆ เยอะมาก แถมทางเดินก็ยาวเกือบ 3 กิโลกันเลยแหละ
The depth of this mine is about 9-storey – as high as Eiffel tower in Paris! However, visitors can only visit 3 storeys of the total 3,000 rooms, which actually already took up a lot of time due to its big size! The path walked is already about 3 km long.
ผลึกเกลือที่นี่เค้าเรียกกันว่า Cauliflower บางจุดผนังจะเป็นเกลือทั้งหมดสามารถเอาลิ้นเลียชิมๆ ได้นะ เค็มดี 5555ทางเดินด้านในทำดีและเดินได้สะดวกมาก เชื่อมต่อกันหมด และมีคนคอยนำทาง ถ้าเดินเองหลงแน่นอน
Salt crystals here are called Cauliflower, and you can actually taste the wall filled of salt at certain spots when guided to (yes, as salty as expected!). The path inside is well made and connected, with a tour guide to lead us as this place is very complex.

The largest hall here is St. Kinga’s Chapel, which is magnificently decorated with the chandelier made with salt crystals, as well as many meticulously made statues.
เหมืองเกลือวิลลิกซ์กาประกอบด้วยห้องต่างๆมากกว่า 2,300 ห้อง มีทางเดินรวมระยะทางถึง 300 กิโลเมตร เทียบเท่ากับระยะทางไปวอร์ซอร์ และมีชั้นต่างๆ รวม 9 ชั้น แต่เปิดให้นักท่องชมได้ 3 ชั้น ที่ระดับความลึก 64-135 เมตร เต็มไปด้วยร่องรอยและเครื่องหมายต่างๆที่มีอายุเก่าแก่หลายร้อยปี ส่วนอนุสรณ์ตามธรรมชาติอย่างถ้ำผลึก (Crystal Grottoes) ซึ่งเกิดขึ้นจากการทับถมของเกลือในยุคไมโอซีน ดูหน้าตื้นตาตื้นใจมาก ช่วงแรกของการเริ่มต้นทัวร์จะต้องเดินลงบันไดวนทรงสี่เหลืยมพื้นผ้าที่ทำจากไม้ไปข้างล่างประมาณ 58 ชั้น บางพื้นที่จนท อนุญาติให้ลิ้นแตะที่ผนังถ้ำลองชิม รสชาติเค็มๆ ผมใช้เวลาเดินอยู่ภายในเหมืองใต้ดินเกือบ 3 ชม. จบทริปก็ขึ้นลิฟท์ทรงสี่เหลื่ยมพื้นผ้าเล็กๆ จุคนได้ประมาณ 6 คน ขึ้นมาด้านบน
The mine comprises of more than 2,300 rooms, with the total path inside of ~300 km long! This is as far as the distance from Krakow to Warsaw actually. There are 9 storeys in total, but only 3 of them at the depth of 64-135 meter are open for visitors. The mine is filled with many marks and signs which are hundreds of years in time, with crystal grottoes from the Miocine Epoch (about 23 – 5 million years ago) fascinating us.
The first part of the tour starts with going down a rectangular-shaped spiral staircase, with the floor made of wood, for about 58 meters. We are allowed to ‘lick’ cave walls to taste the salt at certain points during the tour. We spent about 3 hours walking in this fascinating underground mine, and finishing the visit with an elevator ride up to the ground.

We recommend buying a tour package for both of these places as it’s quite hard to come by yourself – unless you’re renting a car which would also be a good option! Next up, we checked out an authentic Polish cuisine restaurant in Sieraków Manor House Hotel, which provides tasty and really affordable food.

We returned to Rynek Glowny Square, walking and appreciating this joyful vibe as much as possible. If you would like to know more about this city – the oldest town in Poland – you can visit the Market Underground Museum under Cloth Hall, which portrays the details about the city very well. The exhibits include the culture, people who used to live here, and so on – would definitely be a catch for those into history, or if you’re looking for a peaceful place to spend time at without the crowd.
Zalipie Day 6
ระหว่างทางนั่งรถออกจาก Krakow ไปยังเมือง Wroclav ประมาณ 1 ชั่วโมงครึ่งเราจะเจอหมู่บ้านที่น่ารักที่สุดในโปแลนด์อย่าง Zalipie เค้าบอกว่า Zalipie เป็นหมู่บ้านที่น่ารักที่สุดในโปแลนด์เพราะทุกบ้านจะเพ้นท์ดอกไม้สีสดใสไว้ทุกๆ ที่!
After embarking the journey from Krakow to Wrocław for about an hour and a half, we found one of the most picturesque villages in Poland, Zalipie, which is known as the loveliest village in Poland, as every house is painted all over with bright flowers!
มันเริ่มจากกลุ่มแม่บ้านในหมู่บ้านเวลาทำกับข้าวแล้วทิ้งเขม่าสีดำๆ ไว้ ก็เลยหาวิธีกลบเกลื่อนรอยพวกนี้ จริตผู้หญิงอะเนาะ เลยต้องวาดดอกไม้เป็นช่อๆ สวยงามทั้งในและนอกบ้าน 555 สุดท้ายฮิตต่อๆ กันไปทั้งหมู่บ้าน วาดทุกหลังเลยจ้าและวาดมาร่วมร้อยปีแล้ว เหมือนเชียงใหม่เพ้นท์ร่มบ่อสร้างสันกำแพงนั่นแหละ กระถางต้นไม้ บ้านหมา กรงเป็ด บัวรดน้ำ วาดหมด
This painting started with housewives in the village trying to cover up the black stains from cooking, and decided to draw flowers both inside and outside the house. This idea gained popularity among the whole village, leading to all the paintings throughout the town for more than a century. This is similar to Chiang Mai’s paint on local umbrellas – where the paper umbrellas are decorated with plant pots, houses, cages, watering pot, among all other patterns (yes, let us just advertise our hometown a bit!).

During our time at Zalipie, we had a chance to visit a lovely house which belongs to a grandmother who told us that her happiness is to be able to paint her house. This is so true – judging by how detailed and meticulous her house looks! This is a village which we definitely recommend visiting.

Wrocław หรือ วรอสวัฟ เมืองใหญ่อันดับต้นๆ ของโปแลนด์ฝั่งตะวันตก แถมไม่ได้ใหญ่แต่พื้นที่เท่านั้นนะ เพราะตึกรามบ้านช่องในเมืองนี้ก็ใหญ่ตามไปด้วย! วรอสวัฟเป็นเมืองชายแดนติดอยู่กับประเทศเยอรมันและเชค ทำให้ได้รับอิทธิพลและวัฒนธรรม ศิลปะต่างๆ อย่างหลากหลายมาก
Wrocław, one of the largest cities in the west side of Poland, is filled with big and tall buildings, due to the influence from Germany and Czech, its bordering countries. Don’t be surprise to feel some German/Czech vibe while visiting this culturally-diverse city.

For those who love taking photos with the bridge view, there is no doubt that you will fall in love with this place. Wrocław is also called ‘The City of Bridges’ as it has more than a hundred bridges around the city.
Wroclaw Market Square หรือ Rynek Glowny คือจตุรัสกลางเมืองของที่นี่ แต่ละเมืองช่วงหน้าร้อนก็มีสีสันต่างกันในไปย่าน Oldtown หรือ Market Square แนะนำให้ไปเดินซึมซับบรรยากาศและลองทานอะไรที่ยังไม่เคยทาน ยิ่งในเมืองวรอสวัฟที่ตึกต่างๆ ใหญ่โตยิ่งได้อารมณ์เจ้าหญิงในเมืองใหญ่มากค่ะคุณผู้ชม แถมหันหน้าไปเจอ Town Hall ของเมืองที่หน้าตาเหมืองปราสาทคิ้วท์ๆ อู้ยยยยย น่ารัก
Wrocław Market Square or Rynek Glowny is the city’s known square. Each city we visited has very different summer vibe. We recommend going to old town or market square areas to enjoy the atmosphere and try something that you have not eaten before. As Wrocław is filled with big, tall buildings that look somewhat like castles (especially the town hall), the mood of the city is almost like a Disney princess story somehow.

Near the old town situates the Panorama Racławicka painting, a 360-degree historical painting of the war and the fight of the Polish and the Russian in the past. The panorama painting is amazingly detailed and indeed stunning – we’re sure anyone would have to stop by for a moment to appreciate this piece of art.
กิมมิคเล็กๆ ของเมืองวรอสวัฟที่คิวท์ที่สุดตั้งแต่เดินทางมา คือการวางรูปปั้นคนแคระไว้ทั่วเมืองมากกว่า 300 ตัวในปัจจุบัน จริงๆ แล้วตีกตาคนแคระเหล่านี้ในอดีตเคยใช้เป็นสัญลักษณ์ประท้วงที่ต้องแสดงออกอย่างลับๆ ในยุคที่โปแลนด์ถูกปกครองแบบที่ยังไม่เป็นประชาธิปไตย
A cute gimmick of the town is the placement of more than 300 dwarf statues around the city. In fact, these dwarfs used to be a symbol of ‘subtle’ protest in the past, when Poland wasn’t having democracy scheme yet.
รอบๆ เมืองวรอสวัฟยังมีปราสาทที่มีเรื่องราวทางประวัติศาสตร์มากๆ อยู่รอบๆ บางแห่งมีตำนานตั้งแต่ก่อนสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง ปราสาทที่มีคนใช้เป็นร้อยๆ คน เราแวะไปดูมาด้วยกันทั้งหมด 3 ปราสาททั้ง Leśnica Castle , Topacz Castel ,Książ Castel แต่ละที่มีเสน่ห์และเรื่องราวแตกต่างกันออกไป ขอไม่เล่าละเอียดมากแต่ดูรูปเอาดีกว่าเนาะเพราะเดี๋ยวจะยาวเกินไป
Apart from this, there are also many historic stories to be told around the city. Some places have the myths dating back to pre-WW2 period. We visited castles with hundreds of servants, including Leśnica Castle, Topacz Castel, Książ Castel, each of which is filled with charm and different history. Let’s skip the details and focus on the pictures of how pretty these places are.
วันสุดท้ายเป็นอีกอย่างนึงที่ทันสมัยและเราชอบมากๆ ในเมืองนี้ คือพิพิธภัณฑ์การจัดการน้ำของเมืองวรอสวัฟ Hydropolis Centre ฟังชื่ออาจจะดูน่าเบื่อ แต่ควรมาดูด้วยตัวเอง เรามั่นใจว่าสามารถเดินเล่นได้ทั้งวันโดยไม่เบื่อเลย เพราะเค้าจะเล่าตั้งแต่ที่มาที่ไปของน้ำ การจัดนิทรรศการแบบทันสมัยและทำให้เรามีส่วนร่วมคือสิ่งที่สนุกที่สุดและได้ความรู้ด้วยไปในตัว
The last day offered a slightly more modern vibe which we really like – that’s the Water Management Museum called Hydropolis Centre. The name of the place might bore you to death but trust us, you have to come and see this for yourself, as we are sure that you can walk here all day and still enjoy it! The story of the origin of the water, the modern exhibits and the real interactions make this place both fun and knowledgeable at the same time.

At the end of the visit to Wrocław, we prepared to catch a train back to Warsaw at the city’s train station, which is another landmark that should be visited at least for a click on your camera, as this is very grand and magical.
